How to Get Agile PM Certified in MongoliaStep-by-Step Certification Process

The path to Online Agile PM certification follows a structured two-exam route. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation examination. After completing the combined Foundation and Practitioner training, candidates progress through both certification exams to demonstrate their knowledge of Agile Project Management principles and practices. Most learners complete the process within 1 to 2 weeks after training.

Step 1: Complete the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Training

Enrol in the Invensis Learning Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Certification training in Mongolia (5-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). The integrated programme covers the Agile PM lifecycle, roles and responsibilities, project control, requirements, estimating, and risk management.

Step 2: Sit the Agile PM Foundation Exam

Take the Foundation exam: 50 multiple-choice questions, 40 minutes, 50% pass mark (25 of 50), closed book. Delivered online proctored from your home or office in Mongolia, or at an approved test centre.

Step 3: Earn the Agile PM Foundation Credential

On passing the Foundation exam, your Agile PM Foundation certificate is issued. The Foundation credential validates your knowledge of Agile project management fundamentals.

Step 4: Sit the Agile PM Practitioner Exam

Take the Practitioner exam: 4 objective-test questions, 2.5 hours, 50% pass mark (40 of 80 points), open book to the official Agile PM manual. The Practitioner exam is scenario-based and tests applied knowledge in realistic project contexts.

Step 5: Activate Your Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Credentials

On passing both exams, you earn both the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner certificates. The Foundation credential is lifetime valid; the Practitioner credential typically has a 5-year validity, renewable via continuing professional development (CPD) or re-examination.

Step 6: Maintain Your Practitioner Credential

Maintain your Agile PM Practitioner credential by earning CPD points each year or by re-sitting the Practitioner exam before the 5-year validity expires. Foundation does not require renewal.

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management credential based on DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) and owned by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

    General

What is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management credential based on DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) and owned by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

Who should take AgilePM training in Mongolia?

The course suits project managers, business analysts, team leaders and delivery managers who run or contribute to agile projects. It is ideal for professionals in Mongolia's mining, banking, telecom and IT sectors who need to deliver iteratively while keeping governance and control.

Is AgilePM certification worth it in Mongolia?

Yes. Certified agile talent is scarce in Mongolia, while demand grows across mining digitalisation, banking transformation and Vision 2050 programmes. Project manager pay in Ulaanbaatar averages around 2.9M tugrik a month, well above the national average, and the credential helps you access senior delivery roles.

    Is AgilePM recognised internationally?

Yes. AgilePM is recognised in over 150 countries and is especially strong where structured project governance is required alongside agile delivery. Both the Foundation and Practitioner credentials travel across sectors and borders.

What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner levels?

Foundation tests your knowledge and understanding of the AgilePM framework at awareness level. Practitioner goes further, assessing your ability to apply and tailor the framework in realistic project scenarios. The combined five-day programme prepares you for both.

Do I need prior agile experience to enrol?

No. AgilePM Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Prior project or agile experience helps, but the training builds your knowledge from the ground up before moving to Practitioner-level application.

    Pricing

What is included in the AgilePM course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training, AgilePM-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Speak with a learning advisor for a detailed inclusions list and a quote.

How much does AgilePM training cost in Mongolia?

Pricing varies by delivery format and whether you enrol as an individual or a team, so course fees are available on request. Request a quote and our team will share current pricing and any group options for your requirements.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. In many training bundles the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are included, but you should confirm the current inclusion with our team before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, business units and delivery teams. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. There are no formal prerequisites to sit it.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has four scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over two hours. It is open book with the AgilePM Handbook permitted, and the pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 30 out of 60 marks.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

You must hold the AgilePM Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent, before sitting the Practitioner exam. The combined five-day programme covers Foundation first and then Practitioner, so you complete both in sequence.

How are the AgilePM exams delivered?

Both exams can be taken through online proctoring or at an authorised test centre. They are usually sat at the end of the relevant training, with Foundation taken before you move on to the Practitioner exam.

What standard are the AgilePM exams based on?

The exams are based on the current AgilePM Handbook, published by the Agile Business Consortium, and the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. The framework is built on DSDM, the original agile method created in 1994.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can prepare thoroughly with our mock exams and first-attempt guidance to reduce that risk. If you need to resit, our team can advise on the retake process and any reschedule support included in your plan.

    Course Content

What topics does the AgilePM training cover?

The course covers the eight AgilePM principles, the six-phase lifecycle and management products, the business, technical and management roles, MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing and quality, and planning, control and risk, at both Foundation and Practitioner level.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation is open to everyone with no formal prerequisites, so beginners and professionals from traditional project backgrounds can start here. The training builds your understanding step by step before Practitioner-level application.

What are the eight AgilePM principles?

They are: focus on the business need, deliver on time, collaborate, never compromise quality, build incrementally from firm foundations, develop iteratively, communicate continuously and clearly, and demonstrate control. The course shows how to apply each one in practice.

What is MoSCoW prioritisation in AgilePM?

MoSCoW stands for Must have, Should have, Could have and Won't have this time. AgilePM uses it to fix time and cost while flexing scope, guaranteeing on-time delivery by ensuring all Must Haves and most Should Haves are delivered.

How long is the AgilePM training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme runs as a five-day course totalling around 40 hours. It is also available in extended half-day formats to suit working professionals.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive AgilePM-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and knowledge checks. These materials help you understand the framework and prepare for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.
