    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions to complete in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60%, which is 36 correct answers. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method and has no formal prerequisites.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book, allowing the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual. It has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, runs for 150 minutes, and requires 60% to pass, which is 42 marks. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2 to project scenarios.

    What are the prerequisites for the two exams?

    Foundation has no prerequisites and is open to all. To sit Practitioner you must first hold PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Verify current accepted equivalents on the PeopleCert portal.

    Where and how do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7 or at an authorised test centre. They are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined package.
