    The path to Online PgMP certification is designed for experienced program leaders managing multiple related projects aligned to strategic business objectives. The certification process includes eligibility verification, PMI application review, peer-panel assessment, and the final certification examination.

    Step 1: Confirm PgMP Eligibility

    Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets (Set A / Set B / Set C) , secondary diploma OR bachelor's degree OR GAC-accredited bachelor's, plus 48/48/36 months of project management (or PMP) experience plus 84/48/36 months of program management experience within the past 15 years.

    Step 2: Enrol in PgMP Training

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains, delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Results are reported with domain-level performance feedback rather than a single percentage score.

    What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported per domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented programme experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    Do I need prior experience to take the training?
