    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    Foundation is a closed-book exam of 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, with a single answer per question. The pass mark is 60%, which is 36 of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    Practitioner is an open-book, scenario-based exam of 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, taken over 150 minutes. The PRINCE2 manual is permitted. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 of 70 marks, and it tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2.

    What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

    You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Foundation itself has no prerequisites, so the combined course lets you sit both exams in sequence.

    Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    You can take both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctored system, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. In the combined programme, exams are usually arranged as part of your training and dual exam package.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit either exam through PeopleCert, with a re-examination fee per attempt. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to build your readiness so you can approach both papers with confidence.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the PRINCE2 course?

    You will learn the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus how to tailor the method to real projects across both Foundation and Practitioner levels.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and starts from the fundamentals, so beginners can join. The programme then builds to Practitioner, where you apply and tailor the method, with trainer support and practice throughout.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to PRINCE2 7 (2023) and the current PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses, including the People capability and the updated practices and processes.

    How long is the combined training?

    The combined PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner programme runs for around 32 hours, commonly delivered as four full days or spread across more days at fewer hours each. Foundation content comes first, followed by Practitioner.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive accredited PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions, mock exams, tailoring exercises, quizzes and reference materials, along with learner support to help you prepare for both exams.
