Assessment

Is there an exam for Kaizen training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on workshop simulation, team activities and discussion during the one-day programme.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. No formal certification or external credential is awarded, as Kaizen is a methodology rather than a certified qualification. The skills you build are immediately applicable at work.

How is my learning checked during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the concepts through Kaizen event simulation exercises and team activities, practising planning, facilitation and root cause analysis as you go.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to plan a Kaizen event, facilitate it through its phases, apply tools such as 5S, standard work and the Kaizen newspaper, and embed daily improvement to sustain the gains you make.

Does Kaizen training expire or need renewal?

No. There is no certification to maintain and no renewal cycle. The continuous improvement skills you learn do not expire and can be applied throughout your career.

Course Content

What topics are covered in the Kaizen syllabus?

The course covers the Kaizen philosophy and PDCA cycle, waste identification at the Gemba, planning and running a Kaizen event, tools such as 5S, standard work and spaghetti diagrams, and sustaining improvements through daily Kaizen and follow-up audits.

What will I learn about running a Kaizen event?

You learn to run an event phase by phase: observe the current state at the Gemba, analyse root causes, design and test the future state, then implement and standardise. Hands-on simulation lets you practise facilitation during the training.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. Workshop simulation exercises and team activities run throughout the one-day programme, so you practise planning, facilitating and sustaining improvement using realistic process scenarios.

How long is the Kaizen training?

The programme runs for one day, around eight hours in total, covering all six modules from the Kaizen mindset through to sustaining improvements. It can also be delivered as two half-day sessions.

How does Kaizen relate to Lean and Six Sigma?

Kaizen is the engine of Lean, driving waste elimination and flow. It complements Value Stream Mapping, 5S and Poka Yoke, and Kaizen events are often used in the Improve and Control phases of Six Sigma DMAIC projects.
