Assessment

Is there a test at the end of this QFD course?

No. This is a practical skills programme with no test or formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction, worked examples and team discussion during the one-day session.

What do I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. More importantly, you leave able to build and interpret a House of Quality and apply QFD immediately in your own product or service projects.

How is learning reinforced without a test?

Through practice. You build a real House of Quality from a product or service scenario, run a Kano classification and calculate design priorities, so you apply every concept during the day rather than memorising it.

Will I be able to use QFD at work straight away?

Yes. The programme is designed for immediate application. By the end you can facilitate Voice of the Customer sessions, construct the House of Quality, and cascade requirements through the four QFD phases in your own organisation.

Is any formal credential awarded?

No external credential is awarded, as QFD has no governing body or test. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises your participation and the practical skills you have built.

Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD principles and origins, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, the Kano model, building all six rooms of the House of Quality, interpreting the matrix, cascading QFD through four phases, and applying QFD in Design for Six Sigma and service design.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, flags design conflicts in its correlation roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one full day (eight hours), delivered as a single intensive day or two half-days. It covers all six QFD modules with hands-on House of Quality exercises throughout.

Are the sessions hands-on?

Yes. You build and interpret a real House of Quality during the training, work through a Kano classification and calculate column importance, so the day is practical and workshop-based rather than lecture-only.

Does the course cover Six Sigma and service design?

Yes. The training shows how QFD fits the Design for Six Sigma (DMADV) Measure phase and the DMAIC Define phase, and how the House of Quality adapts to service, healthcare and software contexts.
