    What if I do not pass an exam on my first attempt?

    You can resit the EXIN examination; verify the current resit policy and any fee with EXIN. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to prepare you thoroughly for both papers before you sit them.

    The Foundation exam has 40 closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The passing score is 65%, which is 26 out of 40. There are no formal prerequisites to sit it.

    The Practitioner exam has 40 closed-book, scenario-based multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, with a passing score of 65%, which is 26 out of 40. Each question presents a project scenario that requires you to apply business analysis techniques.

    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    Two separate EXIN examinations: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. The recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner exam is the Foundation certificate.

    Where can I take the EXIN BCS exams in Uruguay?

    Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited location, and are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the programme.

    Course Content

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No. The Foundation level has no prerequisites and is beginner-friendly, so you can start even if you are new to business analysis. The programme then builds you up to Practitioner-level application through worked scenarios and practice.

    What topics does the Foundation level cover?

    Foundation covers 14 topic areas, including what business analysis is, strategy analysis, investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis, process and requirements modelling, defining the solution, and making a business and financial case.

    What does the Practitioner level cover?

    Practitioner covers 7 applied topic areas, from the rationale for business analysis and the strategic context to understanding the current situation, stakeholder management, modelling business activities, identifying solutions and building the business case, all through scenarios.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest specification?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, so you study exactly what both exams assess.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive specification-aligned courseware, industry-driven case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and reference guidance on the EXIN BCS examinations. Materials support both self-study and instructor-led sessions.
