How long is the Lean Fundamentals course?

The course runs for one day (eight hours), covering Lean origins, the five principles, the eight wastes, foundational tools, Kaizen and the PDCA cycle, with hands-on exercises throughout. It is also available as two half-day sessions.

Is there an exam for Lean Fundamentals training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through waste identification exercises, case study discussions and team activities during the one-day programme, so you apply the concepts as you learn them.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning on completing the programme. It records that you have completed the training; it is not a formal credential from an external awarding body, as none exists for this course.

Is Lean Fundamentals an accredited certification?

No. Lean management is a vendor-neutral methodology with no single governing body or certification exam for this foundation course. The training builds practical, immediately applicable skills rather than preparing you for an accreditation.

How are participants assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you take part in practical activities throughout the day, including a waste identification exercise, a value stream mapping walkthrough and a 5S workplace assessment, which let you apply Lean concepts to realistic scenarios.

Does the completion certificate expire?

No. There is no renewal requirement and nothing to maintain. The Lean awareness and tool knowledge you build remain valid, and you can apply them across any industry or role for the long term.
