The course covers the Kaizen philosophy and mindset, the PDCA cycle, Gemba, Muda, Mura and Muri, the eight wastes of Lean (DOWNTIME), planning and running a Kaizen event, 5S, standard work and sustaining improvements, across six modules in one day.

What tools will I learn to use?

You will learn to apply 5S, standard work, spaghetti diagrams, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, cycle-time analysis and the Kaizen newspaper. These tools support root cause analysis, process redesign and action tracking within a Kaizen event.

Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Hands-on workshop simulation exercises run throughout the one-day programme. You practise planning and facilitating elements of a Kaizen event using realistic process scenarios, so the concepts translate into workplace skill.
