Is there an exam for Six Sigma Awareness training?

No. This is a non-certification awareness course with no examination. Instead, learning is reinforced through interactive discussion, real-world case studies and team exercises during the one-day programme.

Will I receive anything on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming you attended the programme. It evidences your Six Sigma awareness and your readiness to support improvement projects, though it is not a formal credential.

How is my learning checked during the course?

There is no formal test. Understanding is built and checked through guided discussion, case study exercises and team activities that let you apply Six Sigma concepts to your own work context during the session.

Does this course make me a Green Belt or Black Belt?

No. Awareness training is an introduction, not a practitioner qualification, so it does not qualify you to lead DMAIC projects. To become a practitioner, progress to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt training.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to use Six Sigma vocabulary confidently, understand the five DMAIC phases and the Six Sigma roles, and contribute to and support improvement projects. It is also an ideal foundation before further Lean Six Sigma training.

What topics does the Six Sigma course cover?

The course covers six modules: Six Sigma history and philosophy, key concepts and terminology, the DMAIC methodology, Six Sigma roles and structure, an awareness-level tour of key tools, and Lean Six Sigma in practice. All are delivered in one day.

How is the DMAIC methodology taught?

DMAIC is the five-phase Six Sigma improvement roadmap: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. The course walks through each phase at awareness level, explaining the purpose, key tools and tollgate reviews so you understand how a project flows.

Which Six Sigma tools will I learn about?

You gain awareness of SIPOC, fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, Pareto charts, control charts, Gauge R&R and process capability (Cp, Cpk). You learn what each tool does and where it fits in DMAIC, rather than practitioner-level application.

Is the course suitable for beginners?
