    How many exams are in the combined PRINCE2 programme?

    There are two separate PeopleCert exams: the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. The combined training prepares you for each, with Foundation typically taken before Practitioner.

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions and lasts 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the passing score is 60 percent, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests your knowledge of PRINCE2 principles, people, practices and processes.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks and lasts 150 minutes. It is open book, so the PRINCE2 7 manual is permitted, and the passing score is 60 percent, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It is scenario based.

    What is the passing score for the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams require 60 percent to pass. For Foundation that is 36 out of 60 questions correct. For Practitioner that is 42 out of 70 marks. Both are delivered online with PeopleCert proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

    What happens if I do not pass an exam?

    You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Retake policies and any re-examination fees are set by PeopleCert, so confirm the current terms before you book. Our trainers also provide focused support to help you prepare for a resit with confidence.

    Course Content

    What topics does the PRINCE2 course cover?

    The course covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices such as Business Case, Risk and Quality, and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

    Do I need experience to take this course?

    No experience is required for Foundation, which has no prerequisites. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA. The combined programme is beginner friendly and builds from the basics upward.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 edition?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses, based on the Managing Successful Projects manual published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes for both levels. These help you find weak areas, practise open-book technique for Practitioner, and build readiness for both exams.

    Will I get a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After completing the training you receive a course completion certificate. On passing each PeopleCert exam you also receive the official PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner digital certificates and badges.
