How is learning reinforced during the course?

Will I receive anything on completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you finish the one-day programme. It confirms the training you completed and is not a professional certification, as this is a practical skills course.

What will I be able to do after the course?

You will be able to run a waste walk, read and build a value stream map, plan a 5S rollout, design a kanban pull system, calculate OEE and identify the six big losses, write standard work and lead Kaizen improvements on the shop floor.

Is the training practical or mostly theory?

It is highly practical. Every module pairs concept explanation with hands-on exercises so you apply each Lean tool to realistic production scenarios. The goal is capability you can use at work, not just knowledge of the theory.

Can I progress to further Lean learning afterwards?

The programme covers Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes, value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Kaizen culture.

You will apply value stream mapping, 5S, kanban, Just-in-Time, Total Productive Maintenance, OEE, standard work, SMED quick changeover, Heijunka levelling, Poka Yoke and Kaizen, each practised on realistic manufacturing scenarios during the course.

Is the content relevant to manufacturing in China?

Yes. Lean principles and tools apply directly to China's automotive, electronics, appliance and new-energy plants, and support smart-factory and quality-upgrade goals under Made in China 2025. Corporate sessions can be tailored to your own production lines.

How long is the training?

The course runs for one day, a total of eight hours. It can also be delivered as two half-days of four hours to suit shift patterns and team availability, while covering the same six modules and hands-on exercises.

Are the sessions hands-on?

Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation exercise and kanban sizing, so you leave able to use the tools straight away.
