Do I get a certification after the course?

This is a practical skills course, not a certification programme, so there is no exam or awarding body. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and you gain P6 capability you can apply at work straight away.

Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

Choose Fundamentals if you are new to Primavera P6 or use it occasionally. Choose Advanced if you already work in P6 and want to master resource and cost loading, earned value, Claim Digger, multi-project control and custom reporting. You can take either level on its own or in sequence.

Which software does the course use?

The course is built around Oracle Primavera P6, developed by Oracle Corporation, covering both the P6 Professional desktop client and the web-based P6 EPPM enterprise edition. It is the standard scheduling platform on large construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.

Do I need to buy the Primavera P6 software separately?

Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam at either level. Your learning is reinforced through live, hands-on P6 exercises throughout the programme, so you build real capability rather than sit a test.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After completing the Fundamentals or Advanced programme, you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. It recognises the training you completed, though it is a completion record rather than a formal certification.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you work through practical P6 exercises using realistic construction and infrastructure scenarios, applying each feature as it is taught so you can confirm your understanding by doing.

Do I need prior experience to join?

Fundamentals has no prerequisites and is designed for people new to Primavera P6. For the Advanced level, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience before attending.

Will I be able to use P6 at work after the course?

Yes. The training is built around applying the tool, so you leave able to create schedules, assign resources, set baselines, track progress and report on projects in P6. The skills transfer directly to live project work in Fiji.

Course Content

What does the Fundamentals level cover?

Fundamentals covers the enterprise project structure, work breakdown structure and activities, relationships and scheduling, the critical path and float, resource assignment, baselines, progress updating with the data date, and basic layouts and reports over two days.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers advanced scheduling options, resource and cost loading, cost accounts and S-curves, earned value management, baseline management and Claim Digger, multi-project and enterprise portfolio control, and custom reporting with Excel integration over three days.

Are the sessions hands-on?

Yes. Every module is taught with live Primavera P6 exercises. You follow along in P6 as the trainer demonstrates each feature, working on realistic project scenarios so the skills stick and apply directly to your role.

How long is each level of the training?

The Fundamentals level runs for two days, totalling 16 hours, and the Advanced level runs for three days, totalling 24 hours. Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats to fit working schedules.

What is the difference between P6 Professional and P6 EPPM?

P6 Professional is the desktop client used for detailed scheduling, while P6 EPPM is the web-based enterprise edition that adds portfolio, resource and reporting features across many projects. The course builds skills relevant to both editions.
