Who should attend this Lean Manufacturing training?

It suits production and manufacturing managers, manufacturing and industrial engineers, supervisors and team leaders, quality engineers, maintenance and TPM coordinators, and continuous improvement staff. Anyone working in or running a production operation in Croatia will benefit, whatever their prior Lean experience.

Do I need prior experience to take the course?

No. There are no prerequisites. The programme introduces Lean principles and tools from first principles, so beginners and experienced staff can both take part. Prior shop-floor or production experience is helpful but not required.

How long is the Lean Manufacturing training?

The programme runs for one day, a total of 8 hours, and can also be delivered as two half-days. It covers Lean foundations, the eight wastes, VSM, 5S, pull and Kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka and building a Lean culture, with hands-on exercises throughout.

Is there an exam for this Lean Manufacturing course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities and manufacturing case examples during the day, so you leave able to apply the tools at work.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. It recognises attendance and practical participation rather than a formal external qualification.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you apply Lean tools through practical exercises such as a waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S assessment, an OEE calculation and a Kanban sizing exercise, with trainer feedback throughout.

Will I be able to use these skills at work straight away?

Yes. The programme is built so each concept is paired with a practical exercise you can repeat on your own line. By the end you can run a waste walk, sketch a value stream, size a Kanban loop, work out OEE and plan a Kaizen event.

Does this course lead to a formal Lean certification?

No. It builds practical Lean capability rather than a formal credential. If you later want a certified pathway, it is a strong foundation for programmes such as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt training.

DOWNTIME is a memory aid for the eight wastes: Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-utilised talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion and Extra processing. The course teaches you to spot and quantify each one on the shop floor.

Are there hands-on exercises in the training?

Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day, including a Gemba waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and Kanban quantity sizing, so tools are learned by doing.

What materials do I receive?

You receive structured courseware, reference guides, Lean tool templates and exercise worksheets that support the sessions and help you apply the tools in your own production area after the training.

Is the course relevant to non-automotive plants?

Yes. While Lean began in automotive, the tools apply to food and beverage, metal, plastics, pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing, and to any operations environment. Croatian firms across all these sectors use the same waste, flow and 5S methods.
