    What is the format of the two BA exams?

    Both exams are closed book and multiple choice. The Foundation exam uses single-answer questions testing knowledge and comprehension, while the Practitioner exam uses scenario-based questions that test how you apply BA techniques in realistic project situations.

    How many questions are in each exam and how long are they?

    Each exam has 40 questions and lasts 60 minutes. The Foundation exam spans 14 topic areas, and the Practitioner exam covers 7 applied topic areas through scenario-based questions.

    What is the passing score?

    The passing score is 65 percent for both exams, which is 26 correct answers out of 40. This applies to both the Foundation and the Practitioner exam.

    How do the Foundation and Practitioner exams differ?

    Foundation tests knowledge and comprehension of BA concepts using straightforward multiple-choice questions. Practitioner tests application and analysis, presenting realistic scenarios where you select the best use of a BA technique. Foundation is the recommended step before Practitioner.

    Where can I take the exams?

    You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored exam system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

    What happens if I do not pass first time?

    You can re-sit an EXIN exam if needed. Our trainers provide mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance to help you prepare thoroughly. Confirm current re-sit fees and policy with EXIN or our team.

    What topics does the training cover?

    The programme covers the full EXIN BCS syllabus: business analysis concepts, investigation techniques, requirements engineering, stakeholder management, business process and requirements modelling, strategy analysis, solution definition and business case development, then applies them at Practitioner level.

    What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner content?

    Foundation builds knowledge across 14 topic areas, from what business analysis is to delivering the business solution. Practitioner focuses on applying those techniques across 7 topic areas in realistic scenarios, such as strategic context, current-situation analysis and building the business case.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes Foundation and Practitioner mock exams, practice questions and topic-wise exercises to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest standard?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, quality-assured by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

    What materials and certificate will I receive?

    You receive EXIN BCS-aligned courseware, case studies, practice materials and a course completion certificate. On passing each exam, you also receive the official EXIN digital certificate and badge for that level.
