    How many exams are in the combined programme?

    There are two separate PeopleCert exams: the PRINCE2 Foundation exam and the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. The combined training prepares you for each one.

    What is the format of the Foundation exam?

    The PRINCE2 Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It is delivered online with proctoring or at a test centre.

    What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

    The PRINCE2 Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, with 150 minutes allowed. It is open book, using scenario-based objective questions, and the pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    You may refer to the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual during the Practitioner exam. Time management still matters, because the questions test analysis and judgment in project scenarios, not simple look-up.

    What is the passing score for both exams?

    Both exams require 60% to pass. Foundation needs 36 out of 60 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 42 out of 70 marks. Aim for broad mastery across the principles, practices and processes.

    What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?
