How to Get PMI-RMP Certified in MongoliaStep-by-Step Certification Process

The PMI-RMP certification path in Mongolia is a pure exam track: once your PMI application is approved, you proceed directly to the 115-question, 150-minute exam administered through Pearson VUE , no peer-panel review is required. From initial training to exam day typically takes 6-10 weeks, including application processing.

Confirm PMI-RMP Eligibility

Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets. Set A: high school or secondary school diploma (or global equivalent) + 36 months / 3 years of project risk management experience within the last 5 years + 40 hours of project risk management education. Set B: bachelor's degree or higher (or global equivalent) + 24 months / 2 years of project risk management experience within the last 5 years + 30 hours of project risk management education. Set C: bachelor's degree or higher from a GAC-accredited program + 12 months / 1 year of project risk management experience within the past 5 years + 30 hours of project risk management education. It is designed for risk managers, senior project managers, consultants and analysts who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Mongolia?

Yes. Mongolia's mining, banking, energy and infrastructure sectors run large, high-risk projects and increasingly seek certified risk specialists. Certified project risk managers earn around 54 million tugrik a year, and the credential opens senior risk roles as national mega-projects advance.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in Mongolia?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers in Mongolia and worldwide. It is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as mining, construction, energy and financial services, where structured project risk management is expected.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many PMI-RMP holders also hold the PMP, as the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the PMI-RMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours of instruction, practice questions, mock exams, exam-simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance and learner support. Request a quote for the format that suits you.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

For reference, the PMI exam fee is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; prices vary by region, so confirm current fees at pmi.org. Membership can lower the exam and renewal cost. The exam is paid separately from training.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. The training fee covers your preparation, courseware and support, while you purchase and schedule the exam directly through PMI and Pearson VUE.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts for PMI-RMP training?

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022. It covers five risk management domains and is delivered by Pearson VUE, online proctored or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and a time limit of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the five PMI-RMP domains and their weights?

Per the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What happens if I do not pass the exam the first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your eligibility window.

Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You will learn to plan, identify, analyse, respond to and monitor project risks across the five ECO domains, using tools such as SWOT, the Delphi technique, expected monetary value, decision trees and Monte Carlo simulation, in predictive, agile and hybrid settings.

Does this training meet the PMI education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully satisfies the 30-hour requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C candidates. Set A candidates (secondary diploma) need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions mapped to the January 2022 ECO, full-length mock exams and exam-simulator access to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 115-question exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PMI-RMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022, the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide.

Can a beginner take this course and what experience do I need?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and risk education within the last five years, under one of three eligibility sets. The training builds the knowledge and education hours you need.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP exam?

You must meet one of three sets: Set A (secondary diploma, 36 months of risk experience, 40 education hours); Set B (bachelor's degree, 24 months, 30 hours); or Set C (GAC-accredited degree, 12 months, 30 hours). Experience must be within the last five years.

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available (online, classroom, self-paced)?
