What Is the Observability Foundation Certification?A Foundation in Modern Observability

The Observability Foundation (OBSF) certification is a vendor-neutral credential from the DevOps Institute that proves you understand the concepts, practices and tools used to make modern IT systems observable. Observability Foundation certification training in Puerto Rico prepares you to work confidently with the three pillars of observability, metrics, logs and distributed traces, and to apply them across the cloud-native systems now common in the island's fintech, pharma and aerospace sectors. Delivered by DevOps Institute authorised trainers, the programme is built for DevOps engineers, site reliability engineers, platform engineers, IT operations staff and developers who want to move beyond basic monitoring. You will learn how observability differs from monitoring, how to define SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, and how OpenTelemetry standardises the way telemetry is collected. As Puerto Rico's employers accelerate cloud migration and digital transformation, professionals who can keep distributed systems reliable are in growing demand. Earn a globally recognised credential and start your observability journey with Invensis Learning.

Invensis Learning is a Peoplecert Accredited Training Organization (2778) in Puerto Rico, approved to deliver official Observability Foundation training using accredited courseware and standards.

The Skills You Will BuildFrom the Three Pillars to SLOs

This training helps you make modern systems observable, define service-level objectives and turn telemetry into faster incident response. By the end you can apply the three pillars of observability in real cloud-native environments and are ready for the certification exam.

    Master the Three Pillars

In this training you will learn to make modern software systems observable using metrics, logs and distributed traces, and to understand how observability goes beyond traditional monitoring to explain why systems behave as they do.

    Instrument Systems with OpenTelemetry

Use OpenTelemetry SDKs, collectors and semantic conventions to capture telemetry consistently, and design telemetry pipelines with sampling strategies that manage high-cardinality data and cost.

Define SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets

Set service-level indicators that matter to users, write meaningful service-level objectives, and use error budgets to balance reliability with delivery velocity.

    Turn Telemetry into Root-Cause Insight

Correlate metrics, logs and traces to move from symptom to cause quickly, using spans, trace context and structured logging to diagnose failures in distributed systems.

    Design Smarter Alerting and Response

Move from alert-on-symptom to burn-rate alerting, reduce alert fatigue, build incident-response runbooks and run blameless postmortems that create continuous-learning loops.

Connect Observability to SRE and AIOps

See how observability underpins mature site reliability engineering, explore AIOps and anomaly detection, and prepare for the 40-question, 60-minute Observability Foundation exam.
