    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios, aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Is the change management certification worth it in Winnipeg?

Yes. Change management is in demand across Winnipeg's finance, insurance, public sector and aerospace employers as they run transformation and modernisation programmes. Certified practitioners move into roles such as Change Manager and Transformation Lead, with change manager pay averaging around C$98,000 a year.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits project managers, HR and OD professionals, business analysts, consultants and leaders who guide people through change. The Foundation level is open to all, so no prior change management experience is needed to start.

Is the change management qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. The qualification is recognised in more than 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a recognised discipline, including across Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees vary by region and purchasing channel and are confirmed separately, so please check current inclusion when you enrol. Your learning advisor can confirm exactly what your package covers before you book.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each (80 total) over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80).

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 single-answer multiple-choice questions to complete in 40 minutes. You need 50%, or 25 correct answers, to pass, and it is usually taken at the end of the Foundation part of the training.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Re-sit policies and any fees vary by channel, so confirm the current details when you enrol. Our trainers provide targeted practice and guidance to help you prepare for both exams first time.

    Course Content
