The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification training in Hanover equips you to lead the people and culture side of organisational change, from individual transitions to enterprise transformation. It is the complete two-level pathway, taking you from foundation knowledge to practitioner-level application in one structured programme. The course is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and aligned to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. You cover all five syllabus areas, Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, and work through the established models the profession relies on, including ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S and Bridges' Transition Model. Delivered over a 40-hour programme in live virtual and classroom formats, the training prepares you for two separate examinations: the closed-book Foundation exam and the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner exam. It suits change managers, project and programme leaders, HR business partners and consultants across Hanover's automotive, insurance, engineering and public-sector employers, where digital and industrial transformation is driving demand for people who can make change stick. General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level change management qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of change. Foundation validates understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates the ability to apply them to real scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute.

Who should take this change management course in Hanover?

It suits change managers, project and programme leaders, HR business partners, consultants and senior leaders who want to lead organisational change. In Hanover it is especially relevant for professionals in automotive, insurance, engineering and public-sector organisations running transformation and digital programmes.

Is the change management qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. It is recognised across the UK, Europe, Australia and many other markets where change management is an established profession. That international recognition makes it valuable to Hanover's globally connected employers, including Continental, Volkswagen and the region's insurers and reinsurers.

Is this certification worth it for professionals in Hanover?

Yes. Change managers in Germany average around 92,000 EUR, with senior roles near 104,000 EUR and transformation managers higher still, and demand is rising as Hanover employers reshape around Industry 4.0 and digital change. Talk to a learning advisor about the right pathway for you.

What is the difference between the Foundation and Practitioner levels?

Foundation builds knowledge and comprehension of change management concepts and models, while Practitioner develops the ability to apply those models to realistic organisational scenarios. They are taken sequentially, Foundation first, then Practitioner, and each has its own exam.

    Pricing

How much does the change management training cost in Hanover?

Pricing depends on the format and whether you enrol individually or as a team, so a current quote is available on request. The fee covers instructor-led training, courseware and both mock exams. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for exact figures in EUR.

    Exam

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80). You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice paper of 50 single-answer questions to be completed in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 correct answers out of 50, and there are no formal prerequisites to sit it.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and you have 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks. Change Management Foundation is required first.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential, and we practise this technique in class.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can prepare thoroughly with our mock exams and trainer guidance to give yourself the best chance first time. If a resit is needed, our team will guide you through the re-sit process and current policy. Ask an advisor about retake support when you enrol.
