Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a practical skills programme with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities, real manufacturing case examples and team discussion throughout the day.

Will I receive anything on completing the training?

Yes. You receive a certificate of completion from Invensis Learning after finishing the one-day programme. It records your attendance and the Lean skills covered; it is not an external credential or qualification.

How is learning checked during the day?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the tools directly through exercises such as a waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing, so you practise each skill as you learn it.

Does this training lead to a formal qualification?

No. The course builds practical workplace capability rather than a formal qualification. The skills you gain in waste elimination, flow, 5S and Kaizen are immediately applicable and do not expire or require renewal.

How will I apply what I learn at work?

You leave able to run waste walks, map a value stream, set up 5S, design a simple kanban loop, calculate OEE and lead Kaizen improvements. The tools apply directly to your own production line from the next day.

What topics does the Lean course cover?

The programme covers Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Lean culture.

What Lean tools will I learn to use?

You will practise value stream mapping, 5S, kanban, OEE calculation, standard work, SMED quick changeover and A3 problem solving, among others. Each tool is taught through a hands-on exercise using realistic manufacturing scenarios.

Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Hands-on activities run throughout the day, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and a kanban quantity exercise, so you apply every concept as you go.

Is the course based on the Toyota Production System?

Yes. The training is grounded in the Toyota Production System developed by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo, including its two pillars of Just-in-Time and Jidoka, and the five Lean principles that guide every improvement.

What materials are provided?

You receive structured course materials, worked manufacturing examples, and downloadable templates and reference guides for the Lean tools covered, so you can apply value stream mapping, 5S, OEE and kanban in your own plant.
