    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice, single-answer questions to complete in 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the passing score is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests your knowledge of the PRINCE2 7 method.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, sat over 150 minutes. It is open book, so the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted, and the passing score is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It is scenario based.

    Do I need Foundation before taking Practitioner?

    Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is the prerequisite for Practitioner. Other accepted equivalents include PMP, CAPM and IPMA Level A/B/C/D. This combined program is designed to be taken in sequence, Foundation first, then Practitioner.

    Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

    Both exams are delivered through PeopleCert, either online with the OnVUE proctoring system available 24/7, or at an authorized test center. Many candidates arrange both exams through the training package as part of the combined program.

    What happens if I do not pass an exam the first time?

    You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert, and our training includes preparation designed to build first-time readiness with mock exams and practice questions. Confirm the current re-sit fees and policy with PeopleCert, and our team can guide you through rebooking.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the PRINCE2 course?

    You learn to apply the seven principles, seven practices and seven processes of PRINCE2 7, plus the People capability and tailoring. Foundation builds method knowledge, while Practitioner develops your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios.

    How is the combined training structured?

    The program runs over four days and 32 hours. Foundation content is typically covered first with its exam, followed by Practitioner content and its exam. It blends instruction, worked examples and scenario practice so you can apply the method, not just recall it.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from the basics, and the trainer support and practice materials help newcomers reach Practitioner level with confidence.
