    How to Get PgMP Certified in Costa RicaStep-by-Step Certification Process

    The path to Online PgMP certification is designed for experienced program leaders managing multiple related projects aligned to strategic business objectives. The certification process includes eligibility verification, PMI application review, peer-panel assessment, and the final certification examination.

    Step 1: Confirm PgMP Eligibility

    Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets (Set A / Set B / Set C) , secondary diploma OR bachelor's degree OR GAC-accredited bachelor's, plus 48/48/36 months of project management (or PMP) experience plus 84/48/36 months of program management experience within the past 15 years.

    Step 2: Enrol in PgMP Training

    Choose your preferred Invensis Learning PgMP cohort (3-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). On enrolment you receive PMI-aligned PgMP courseware, panel-submission templates, scenario mock-exam material, and the 24 contact hours you need for your PMI application.

    Step 3: Document Program Management Experience for Panel Review

    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains and is delivered online or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is a closed-book exam using single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    There are five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the most weight.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What if I do not pass, can I retake the exam?

    Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period that begins when your application is approved. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts, so confirm the current amounts on pmi.org.

    PMI offers three eligibility sets. With a secondary diploma you need 48 months of project management experience (or a PMP) plus 84 months of programme management experience; with a four-year degree the programme requirement drops to 48 months, and a GAC-accredited degree reduces it further. All experience must fall within the past 15 years.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest standard?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and the fourth edition of the Standard for Program Management, so what you study reflects what PMI tests.

    What learning resources are provided?
