    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 60%, meaning 36 of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method and has no formal prerequisites.

    What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book, with the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual permitted. It has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks over 150 minutes, and the pass mark is 60%, meaning 42 of 70 marks. It uses scenario-based questions.

    Are there prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

    Yes. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. On the combo pathway you sit Foundation first, then Practitioner, so the prerequisite is met within the programme.
