What Is the AgilePM Foundation & Practitioner Certification?Your Route into Governed Agile Delivery

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification training in Rwanda equips you to run agile projects with the governance and control that employers in Kigali and beyond now expect. The AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner (AgilePM-F&P) is a two-level agile project management credential built on DSDM (Dynamic Systems Development Method) and owned by the Agile Business Consortium, formerly the DSDM Consortium. Over a structured five-day programme you cover both levels end to end. Foundation builds your knowledge of the eight AgilePM principles, the six-phase lifecycle, defined roles, MoSCoW prioritisation and timeboxing, while Practitioner develops your ability to tailor and apply the framework to real project scenarios. All content is aligned to the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook and the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. Whether you are a project manager formalising agile skills, a PRINCE2 holder adding an agile credential, or a business analyst working in iterative delivery, this pathway gives you a globally recognised qualification. Start your AgilePM journey with Invensis Learning and move from study to certified with a clear, supported plan.

How to Get Agile PM Certified in RwandaStep-by-Step Certification Process

The path to Online Agile PM certification follows a structured two-exam route. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation examination. After completing the combined Foundation and Practitioner training, candidates progress through both certification exams to demonstrate their knowledge of Agile Project Management principles and practices. Most learners complete the process within 1 to 2 weeks after training.

Step 1: Complete the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Training

Enrol in the Invensis Learning Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Certification training in Rwanda (5-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). The integrated programme covers the Agile PM lifecycle, roles and responsibilities, project control, requirements, estimating, and risk management.

Step 2: Sit the Agile PM Foundation Exam

Take the Foundation exam: 50 multiple-choice questions, 40 minutes, 50% pass mark (25 of 50), closed book. Delivered online proctored from your home or office in Rwanda, or at an approved test centre.

Step 3: Earn the Agile PM Foundation Credential

On passing the Foundation exam, your Agile PM Foundation certificate is issued. The Foundation credential validates your knowledge of Agile project management fundamentals.

Step 4: Sit the Agile PM Practitioner Exam

Take the Practitioner exam: 4 objective-test questions, 2.5 hours, 50% pass mark (40 of 80 points), open book to the official Agile PM manual. The Practitioner exam is scenario-based and tests applied knowledge in realistic project contexts.

Step 5: Activate Your Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner Credentials

On passing both exams, you earn both the Agile PM Foundation and Practitioner certificates. The Foundation credential is lifetime valid; the Practitioner credential typically has a 5-year validity, renewable via continuing professional development (CPD) or re-examination.

Step 6: Maintain Your Practitioner Credential

Maintain your Agile PM Practitioner credential by earning CPD points each year or by re-sitting the Practitioner exam before the 5-year validity expires. Foundation does not require renewal.

    General

Is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it in Rwanda?

Yes. AgilePM gives you a governed, employer-recognised way to lead agile projects, and demand is rising as Rwanda's banks, telecoms, ICT firms and government scale digital delivery under Vision 2050. Project management roles in Rwanda average around RWF 9.7M a year, with senior roles reaching RWF 15M and beyond.

What is AgilePM and who owns the framework?

AgilePM (Agile Project Management) is a structured agile framework based on DSDM that adds governance, defined roles and control to agile delivery. The framework is owned and published by the Agile Business Consortium, formerly the DSDM Consortium.

Who should take this AgilePM course?

It suits project managers, team leaders, business analysts, testers and delivery professionals who want a recognised agile credential. It also complements PRINCE2 and Scrum, adding a project-level governance layer around agile delivery.

Do I need experience before starting AgilePM Foundation?

No. AgilePM Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must first hold AgilePM Foundation or an accepted equivalent.

    Is AgilePM recognised internationally?

Yes. AgilePM is recognised in over 150 countries and is especially valued where structured project governance is required alongside agile delivery, making it portable across sectors and regions.

    Pricing

What is included in the AgilePM course fee?

The training fee typically includes AgilePM-aligned courseware, Foundation and Practitioner content, case studies, practice questions, mock exams and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Request a quote for the current inclusions in Rwanda.

How much does AgilePM training cost in Rwanda?

Pricing varies by delivery format and package, so fees are shared on request. Talk to a learning advisor for current AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner pricing and any group offers in Rwanda.

Are the exam fees part of the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some bundles include both Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Ask us to confirm what your package covers before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Kigali and across Rwanda. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    Exam

How many exams are in the AgilePM combined programme?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 4 scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each (60 total) in 2 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (30 out of 60). You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the Practitioner exam. The four scenario questions still require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient handbook navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What is the passing score for each AgilePM exam?

Both exams require 50% to pass. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 correct, and Practitioner needs 30 out of 60 marks across its four scenario-based questions.

Which standard are the AgilePM exams based on?

The exams are aligned to the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook published by the Agile Business Consortium.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our trainers provide practice questions, mock exams and first-attempt guidance to prepare you thoroughly. Ask us about the current re-sit policy for your package.
