    How to Get Certified Scrum Product Owner Certified in RwandaStep-by-Step Certification Process

    The path to certificate CSPO training in Rwanda is straightforward. Complete the 2-day Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®)-led course and accept the Scrum Alliance License Agreement to activate your credential. There is no examination requirement; the credential is awarded upon successful course completion.

    Step 1: Enrol in the 2-Day CSPO Course

    Choose your preferred Invensis Learning CSPO cohort (2-Day Live Online Bootcamp or Corporate Group Training). All cohorts are led by a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST) using official courseware and the latest Scrum Guide.

    Step 2: Attend and Participate in the Full Course

    Attend both days and take part in the workshops, exercises, and discussions. Active participation in the full 16-hour course is the requirement Scrum Alliance sets for the CSPO credential.

    Step 3: Trainer Submits Your Completion

    After the course, your CST submits your successful participation to Scrum Alliance, which adds the CSPO credential to your Scrum Alliance account.

    Step 4: Accept the License Agreement and Earn CSPO

    Accept the Scrum Alliance License Agreement in your account to activate your Certified Scrum Product Owner® credential, digital badge, and 2-year Scrum Alliance membership. There is no exam.

    Step 5: Maintain Your Credential

    CSPO is valid for 2 years. Renew by earning 20 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and paying the Scrum Alliance renewal fee before your credential expires.

    Certification

    Does CSPO have an exam?

    No. CSPO has no examination. The credential is awarded directly by Scrum Alliance once you successfully complete an approved CSPO course delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer, in person or live online.

    How is the CSPO credential awarded?

    After you complete the approved course, your trainer submits your completion to Scrum Alliance. You then accept the Scrum Alliance licence agreement in your member account to activate your CSPO credential and digital badge.

    How do I renew my CSPO certification?

    Renew CSPO every two years by earning 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and paying the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee. SEUs can be earned through training, events, coaching and self-study.

    Is Scrum Alliance membership included?

    Yes. A two-year Scrum Alliance membership is included when you complete the approved CSPO course. Membership gives you access to your digital badge, credential maintenance and Scrum Alliance resources.

    What comes after CSPO in the Scrum Alliance track?

    CSPO is the first level of the Scrum Alliance Product Owner track. From there you can progress to Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) and then Certified Scrum Professional, Product Owner (CSP-PO).

    Yes. CSPO is beginner friendly and requires no prior experience or specific qualifications. The trainer builds concepts from the ground up using practical exercises, so newcomers and experienced professionals both benefit.

    Is the courseware aligned with the latest Scrum guidance?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Scrum Alliance CSPO learning objectives and the latest edition of the Scrum Guide, including the Product Goal as the Product Backlog commitment.

    What language and format is the training delivered in?

    Training is delivered in English, in live online (live virtual) and classroom formats, typically over two days. Both formats qualify you for the CSPO credential on completion.
