Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a two-level credential covering the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to realistic scenarios. Both align to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level credential covering the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to realistic scenarios. Both align to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Who should take this change management course in Rwanda?

It suits HR professionals, project and programme managers, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who guide organisational change. As Rwanda pursues Vision 2050 and digital-government reform, it is valuable for anyone driving adoption across banking, ICT, consulting and the public sector.

Is the change management certification worth it in Rwanda?

Yes. Change roles are in growing demand as employers modernise services and ways of working. Change manager roles in Rwanda average around RWF 13.3M a year, with senior transformation roles higher, and certified practitioners remain relatively scarce. Talk to a learning advisor about the right path for you.

    Is the credential recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised across many countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a defined profession. It travels across sectors and borders, making it a strong, transferable credential for professionals in Kigali and beyond.

What are the prerequisites and how long is it valid?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires the Foundation certification first. Both exams are typically taken during the combined programme. Confirm current validity and any renewal requirements with Invensis Learning.

    Pricing

How much does the change management training cost in Rwanda?

Pricing depends on the delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so course fees are available on request. Contact Invensis Learning for a current quote for live online or corporate group training in Rwanda.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, trainer-led sessions across both levels, practice questions, mock exams, open-book exam technique and learner support. Verify current inclusions, including exam vouchers, with Invensis Learning when you enquire.

Are the exam fees part of the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package, so confirm at enrolment. Where vouchers are not bundled, the Foundation and Practitioner exam fees are billed separately. Ask a learning advisor for a full breakdown before you book.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR, PMO and leadership teams across Rwanda. Request a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you and to see upcoming batches.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam, and must pass both to hold both credentials. The combined programme prepares you for each in one continuous course.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes. It is closed book with single-answer questions, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of change concepts and models.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid model knowledge are both essential, and we practise both in class.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit the exam under the current retake policy. Our training focuses on first-attempt readiness through mock questions, scenario practice and open-book technique. Confirm resit fees and policy with Invensis Learning before booking.

    Course Content

What topics does the change management course cover?

It covers the five syllabus areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at Foundation and Practitioner level across a combined 40-hour programme.

Which change models and frameworks will I learn?

You learn a broad set of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, so you study the material the exams are based on.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites and starts from core concepts, so beginners are welcome. The programme then builds to Practitioner-level application, with trainer guidance and scenario practice to support learners at every stage.

What materials and practice are provided?

You receive CMBoK-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus open-book technique for the Practitioner exam. These help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Enrollment

Who can enrol in the change management training?

Anyone can enrol in the training. Foundation has no formal prerequisites, and you progress to Practitioner within the same combined programme. It is open to HR, project, OD and leadership professionals at any career stage.

How do I enrol in the course?

Enrol through the Invensis Learning website or speak with a learning advisor. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?
