    How to Get PgMP Certified in RwandaStep-by-Step Certification Process

    The path to Online PgMP certification is designed for experienced program leaders managing multiple related projects aligned to strategic business objectives. The certification process includes eligibility verification, PMI application review, peer-panel assessment, and the final certification examination.

    Step 1: Confirm PgMP Eligibility

    Verify you meet one of the three eligibility sets (Set A / Set B / Set C) , secondary diploma OR bachelor's degree OR GAC-accredited bachelor's, plus 48/48/36 months of project management (or PMP) experience plus 84/48/36 months of program management experience within the past 15 years.

    Step 2: Enrol in PgMP Training

    Choose your preferred Invensis Learning PgMP cohort (3-Day Live Online Bootcamp, E-Learning, or Corporate Group Training). On enrolment you receive PMI-aligned PgMP courseware, panel-submission templates, scenario mock-exam material, and the 24 contact hours you need for your PMI application.

    Step 3: Document Program Management Experience for Panel Review

    Compile your program management experience submission to PMI's evaluation standard: programs led, components managed, governance forums chaired, benefits delivered. Invensis Learning's submission templates and reviewer feedback help you avoid the common rejection patterns PMI flags.

    Step 4: Submit the PgMP Application to PMI

    Submit your application via the PMI candidate portal. PMI performs an initial review, then forwards the experience submission to the peer panel for evaluation. The panel-review window typically runs 60-90 days. Pay the PgMP application/exam fee: ~$800 (PMI member) or ~$1,000 (non-member).

    Step 5: Sit the 170-Question PgMP Exam via Pearson VUE

    After panel approval you receive a one-year exam eligibility window. Book your PgMP exam through Pearson VUE , online proctored from your home or office in Rwanda, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. The exam is 170 scenario-based multiple-choice questions over 240 minutes.

    Step 6: Earn the PgMP Credential and Plan CCR Renewal

    On passing, PMI issues your PgMP digital badge and certificate. The credential is valid for three years; renew via PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) programme by earning 60 PDUs across the 3-year cycle in program-relevant content.

    Instructor-led PgMP training in Rwanda is priced by format and cohort, so it is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing.

    What is included in the PgMP course fee?

    The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Talk to a learning advisor for the full inclusions.

    Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

    No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference the exam is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members; membership also lowers renewal costs. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

    What if I do not pass the PgMP exam first time?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and our training includes mock exams and prep support to build readiness. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is closed book, with multiple-choice question formats, and results are reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

    Where can I take the PgMP exam in Rwanda?

    You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility window.

    Do I need prior experience to take PgMP training?

    The training is built for experienced managers. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial project and programme management experience under one of three eligibility sets. Anyone can attend the training, and we help you assess your eligibility and document your hours.

    The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: strategic programme management, programme life cycle management, benefits management, stakeholder engagement and governance, plus the application, panel review and exam strategy.
