What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. Foundation has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). Practitioner has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each (80 total) in 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80). You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario-based questions require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50% to pass. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 40 out of 80 marks across its five sections. Focus on broad mastery of all five topic areas.

Which standard is the exam based on?

The exams align to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, and the Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. Our courseware follows these current versions.

How is the exam delivered and can I retake it?

Both exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, usually at the end of each stage of training. If you do not pass first time, our trainers provide retake guidance and support to help you prepare again.

    Course Content
