What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?Your Route to Leading Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification (CM-F&P) is a globally recognised, two-level credential that proves you can lead the people and culture side of organisational change, not just the project plan. Change Management certification training in Visakhapatnam with Invensis Learning takes you through both levels in one structured programme, grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. Foundation builds your knowledge of change models, stakeholder engagement and the psychology of transition. Practitioner develops your ability to apply those approaches to real organisational scenarios through an open-book, scenario-based assessment. Across five topic areas you learn to diagnose resistance, plan communication, and embed change that lasts. As Visakhapatnam scales its IT, fintech, pharma and GCC base, employers need professionals who can carry teams through transformation. Whether you are an HR business partner, project manager or aspiring change lead, this is a clear, supported path. Start your change management journey with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

CM-F&P is a globally recognised, two-level change management credential grounded in the CMBoK from the Change Management Institute. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models; Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

CM-F&P is a globally recognised, two-level change management credential grounded in the CMBoK from the Change Management Institute. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts and models; Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios.

Who should take this change management course in Visakhapatnam?

It suits HR business partners, project and programme managers, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who manage the people side of change. With Visakhapatnam's IT, fintech, pharma and GCC growth, it is a strong fit for anyone moving into change or transformation roles.

Is the CM-F&P certification recognised in Visakhapatnam and worldwide?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and valued by employers across India and globally, including IT services, GCCs, BFSI, pharma and the public sector that run large change programmes.

Is the change management certification worth it?

Yes, if you lead or support change. Change management and consultant roles in India average roughly ₹9 to 18 lakh a year, and certified professionals are scarce against a deep project talent pool, so CM-F&P helps you stand out and move into higher-value roles.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The combined programme then takes you into Practitioner-level application, so beginners and experienced professionals can both benefit.

    Pricing

How much does the change management training cost in Visakhapatnam?

Fees vary by format, whether live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. Exam fees are billed separately by the certification body and vary by region and channel. Request a quote for current pricing and inclusions in your local currency. Talk to a learning advisor for details.

What is included in the CM-F&P course fee?

The training fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, case studies, mock exams for both levels, practice questions, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies by package, so confirm what is bundled when you enrol. Request a quote for a full breakdown.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. The Foundation and Practitioner exam fees are set by the certification body and can vary by region. Ask a learning advisor which package includes the exam vouchers.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR groups, PMOs and transformation teams in Visakhapatnam. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

Two. The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each (80 total) in 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80).

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the five scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50%. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 questions correct; Practitioner needs 40 out of 80 marks across the five sections. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

How and where do I sit the exams?

Both exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre. The Foundation exam is usually taken at the end of Foundation training and the Practitioner exam at the end of Practitioner training.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

You must hold Change Management Foundation, or an accepted equivalent, before sitting the Practitioner exam. The combined programme covers Foundation first, then Practitioner, so you build toward it in sequence.

    Course Content

What topics does the CM-F&P course cover?

The syllabus spans five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level; Practitioner at application and analysis level.

Which change models and frameworks will I learn?

You will learn a broad range of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence, and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Which standard is the courseware based on?

The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute, so you study the models and terminology the exams assess.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus case studies, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the scenario-based Practitioner assessment.

How long is the training and what format is it?

The combined programme runs for 40 hours, scheduled as full days or extended part-time formats. It is delivered as online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, or customised corporate group training.
