    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification is a two-level qualification that validates your ability to lead the people side of organizational change. Foundation confirms your understanding of change concepts and models, and Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in San Francisco?

Yes. San Francisco employers across technology, fintech, healthcare and consulting are investing heavily in digital and AI-driven transformation, and certified change professionals are in demand. Senior Change Managers in the city average around $221,873 a year, making the credential a strong career investment.

What standard is the Change Management qualification based on?

The qualification is built on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It covers five topic areas spanning the individual, the organization, communication and stakeholders, change practice, and professional management.

Is the Change Management certification recognized internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognized in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever change management is treated as a professional discipline, including across the United States, the UK, Europe and Australia.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a 40-minute duration. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. There are no prerequisites to sit it.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks.
