    What is the format of the Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, lasts 40 minutes, and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. There are no prerequisites to sit it.

    What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, and runs for 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

    How many exams are in the combined program?

    There are two separate exams taken sequentially: the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials. The combined course prepares you for each.

    What are the prerequisites for each exam?

    Course Content

    What topics does the course cover?

    The course covers the five change management topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner applies it to scenarios.

    Which change models will I learn?

    You will learn a broad set of models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains, and Cialdini's principles of influence.

    Do I need prior experience to take the course?

    No. The Foundation level is open to all and assumes no prior change management knowledge, so beginners are welcome. Hands-on scenarios and trainer support build your confidence toward the Practitioner level.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive courseware aligned to the exam syllabi, references to the Change Management Practitioner Guide and CMBoK, industry case studies, practice questions, and mock exams for both levels.

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide.
